Here's a little bit about me...

I am living my dream right here in New York City!

“Find your passion and your truth that lies within and connect with it.”

An old girlfriend once said to me right before we broke up, “Jeff you hate your job and most of your life.”  So one night I sat down and with pad and pen and wrote down what I “liked” doing.  It was when I realized that I “loved” taking pictures that I found my passion that has led me to living a life that I not only imagined but truly now embrace and embody.  And I all started when I turned 40.

In 1998 I left a job and a world that no longer resonated for me and for 10 years now I have had the great fortune to meet, photograph and build relationships with notable artists from around the world and get paid for doing it! I have created my life.  And through the love of my craft, doors have opened and I have connected with musicians, actors, authors, designers and so many interesting people who are creating their life, their creative expression, and expressing it to the world.  And I get the chance with my talents and gifts as a photographer to support them in doing this.

My sessions are a collaboration.  They are laid back, comfortable, easy, and always lots of fun. It is all about the connection, and when that happens “we” create everything together.  The essence of the person is what I intend to capture and through my images that essence is revealed to the world.  This is what I love about what I do because what lies beneath the surface is the beauty and elegance of the soul and the heart.  It is real and authentic and that is what comes through in my work.

Because of this I have gotten the chance to work with many artists who are living their dream and giving their talents and gifts to the world.  You can see many of them here on my site.  These amazing artists have used the images we have created together in many arenas and they have assisted them in moving further out into the world.  I have had the wonderful opportunity to have my work appear in publications that include Vogue, The New York Times, New York Daily News, and magazines that include Los Angeles Confidential, Gotham, Hamptons, Guitar One amongst others.  In addition, I am a regular contributor to Paste magazine.  I have worked with record labels, collaborating on record packages and artist portfolios.  And clients include, RCA, DECCA, Koch, Wildflower and Road Runner Records.

My passion has been the doorway into the life I now live and has also led to many amazing projects and endeavors.  In 2008 I documented the entire production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway and it was a life changing experience.  Many others have been as well, mainly due to the relationships I have formed along the way.  These relationships and my accomplishments have manifested simply because I listened to my heart when it asked me to find my passion.  I found a vehicle for my self-expression, a deep love for creating it, and thus have been able to receive what has appeared on my path because I made a commitment to my dream and me.

I am living that dream, having lots of fun and you can too!
